Victoria Falls (Lozi: Mosi-oa-Tunya, “The Smoke That Thunders”; Tonga: Shungu
Namutitima, “Boiling Water”) is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa that is
home to a number of rare plant and animal species. It is located on the Zambia-Zimbabwe
border and is regarded as one of the world’s largest waterfalls due to its 1,708-metre width
(5,604 ft).
Arrive at the Victoria Falls International Airport. Arrive at the airport and meet your local
guide. Victoria Falls is one of the best tourist destinations in southern Africa. The town is
located on the Zimbabwean side of the mighty waterfall that bears its name. The Victoria Falls
form the world's largest curtain of falling water and are one of nature's most spectacular
spectacles. Sir David Livingstone, the legendary explorer, revealed the existence of the
waterfalls to the world. You are transferred to your hotel and given the option of having lunch
at the hotel or somewhere else. The late afternoon is free for you to do whatever you want.
Dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel
Finish your breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a short walk with your knowledgeable
guide that will bring the natural wonder to life. Enter the National Park of Victoria Falls. From
various vantage points, visitors can enjoy panoramic and breath-taking views of the falls. The
head-on view of the Falls from the Victoria Falls National Park is probably the best available
view of this natural spectacle, as it shows the entire length of the 1. 7 km waterfall as well as
the entire drop of 108m. We go back to the hotel for lunch. After some downtime, take a sunset
cruise down the Zambezi River. Overnight in Victoria Falls at a hotel
After breakfast, you will be met at the hotel and driven to the Masuwe Estate, which is only a
few minutes away from your hotel, to enjoy the Lion Walk. The Masuwe Lion Walk takes
place in an area where lion cubs ranging in age from three to sixteen months can roam freely
and unrestrictedly as you walk with them along the banks of the Masuwe River. The "walking
with lions" experience allows you to interact with two or three cubs for up to an hour and a half
in one session. The encounter is fully supervised and professionally managed by an
experienced and qualified team that has been working with lions for over 20 years, orginally at
Gweru's Antelope Park, and has extensive knowledge of the species. Return to the hotel for
lunch before being escorted to the Victoria Falls Craft Market, where some of the finest
examples of African artistry are on display.
After breakfast, take one last look at the magnificent waterfalls before relaxing for a while.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport for your return flight to your
country.
