Itinerary
Begin your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda after an early morning breakfast. Make a brief stopover at the equator to take photos. Proceed to Mbarara town for lunch before continuing to the park. The Park is one of Uganda's outstanding treasures, and it was named after Queen Elizabeth II during her visit to the country in 1954.
Queen Elizabeth Park is 1978 square kilometers in size and is located between two large lakes, George and Edward, as well as the 34 kilometer-long Kazinga channel. As you enter the park, you will notice the escapement of the Ruwenzori Mountain creator lakes, the rift valley, and several animals in the park plains. The Park is known for its lions, elephants, buffaloes, cobs, bushbucks, waterbucks, warthogs, and leopards, but it may be difficult to see them. Mega safari lodge provides meals and overnight accommodations. Full board at Enganzi Lodge or any relevant, Bush lodge tented rooms or bandas (mid-range).
Tourists take a boat ride on the Kazinga channel. You'll start your day with a cup of African tea and head out at dawn to catch up with early risers. Waterbucks, buffaloes, warthogs, a variety of birds, and other animals are encountered. The Park is home to over 95 species of mammals and 600 species of birds. After the game drive, you'll return to the lodge for breakfast before relaxing after lunch. Later, you'll embark on an afternoon/evening boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. You will most likely see buffaloes close to the water, hippos, dozens of pied kingfishers, and among them are pelicans. Return to your lodging for dinner and an overnight stay.
Get up early to go on a Chimp tracking safari in Kalinzo Forest Reserve, Kyambura Gorge. After chimp tracking, eat a hearty breakfast, check out, and begin your drive to
Kampala/Entebbe. Have lunch in Mbarara before continuing on to Kampala, where you will
