Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with The Africa Safaris (“the Company”). By confirming a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the policies outlined below.
1. Booking & Reservations
A booking is confirmed once the required deposit has been received and written confirmation is issued.
The Company reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate personal information, including passport details and special requirements.
2. Payments
A deposit of 30–50% (or as specified in your quotation) is required to secure reservations.
Full payment must be made 60 days before the start of the safari.
Bookings made within 60 days of travel require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, online payment systems, or any method stated by the Company.
All bank charges must be covered by the client.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations must be made in writing.
Cancellation fees apply as follows:
60 days or more before travel: Loss of deposit
59–31 days before travel: 50% of total cost
30 days or less: 100% of total cost (no refund)
No refunds are issued for unused services, early departures, or no-shows.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed according to supplier policies (lodges, airlines, parks, etc.).
4. Amendments
Any changes to the itinerary after confirmation may incur additional costs.
Amendments are subject to availability and supplier approval.
The Company will assist with reasonable modification requests but cannot guarantee all changes.
5. Prices
All prices are quoted in the currency stated by the Company.
Rates may change due to currency fluctuations, tax adjustments, park fee changes, or supplier increases.
Once full payment is made, no changes in price will apply unless caused by third-party government or park authority changes.
6. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients.
Policies must cover medical emergencies, evacuation, trip cancellation, loss of luggage, and personal belongings.
The Company is not responsible for any costs arising from a client’s failure to obtain adequate insurance.
7. Health & Fitness
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they are in good health and fit for the journey.
Some activities (e.g., gorilla trekking) require a minimum fitness level or compliance with national regulations.
Clients must inform the Company of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary needs when booking.
8. Passports, Visas & Vaccinations
Clients are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas, and required vaccinations.
The Company provides guidance but is not liable for denied entry due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.
9. Responsibilities & Liability
The Africa Safaris acts as an agent between clients and service providers (lodges, airlines, transport companies).
The Company is not liable for injury, illness, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party suppliers or events outside its control.
Clients participate in safaris and activities at their own risk.
Wildlife encounters are unpredictable; the Company ensures safety measures but cannot guarantee specific sightings.
10. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, weather conditions, strikes, or transport issues.
In such cases, the Company will reschedule the trip where possible but is not obligated to provide refunds.
11. Behavior & Conduct
Clients must behave respectfully toward guides, staff, wildlife, and fellow travelers.
The Company reserves the right to remove any client who behaves recklessly or threatens the safety of others.
No refunds will be issued for termination of services due to misconduct.
12. Complaints
Any complaint must be reported immediately to the guide or lodge manager for quick resolution.
If not resolved on-site, a written complaint must be submitted within 7 days of tour completion.
13. Governing Law
All bookings and transactions are governed by the laws of the country in which the Company is registered.
Legal disputes will be handled under that jurisdiction.
