Itinerary
We leave early today, picking you up from your Arusha City and heading south to the stunning Tarangire National Park. We arrive at your campsite around noon, just in time for a relaxing lunch. Your afternoon game drive will reveal the wonders of Tarangire National Park, also known as the "Elephant Playground." In the park, herds of up to 300 of these colossal mammals are occasionally seen. Tarangire easily rivals it in terms of animal density during the dry season. Tarangire is home to buffalo, lion, wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle while gerenuk and fringe – eared Oryx are local specialties.Late afternoon it will be time for refreshment at our respective accommodation
After breakfast at the Lodge, we collect our picnic lunch box and depart from Lodge early in the morning for a short, pleasant drive to Lake Manyara. First and foremost, we spent the morning exploring the park's stunning landscape, looking for wildlife on the plains, in the acacia woodlands, and along the shores of the shallow alkaline lake. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, but they're far from the only attraction: by the end of an exciting afternoon, you could easily have seen elephant, hippo, wildebeest, buffalo, and giraffe, among many other species. Pink-hued flamingos are among the 400 bird species recorded here provide a splash of color. It's back to your respective accommodation at the end of the afternoon for some relaxation and a delicious dinner.
After breakfast, we pack our lunches and depart from the Lodge. Our journey takes us west and north, and our exciting destination is a name that everyone knows – the Serengeti! The sheer scale of the territory and the raw beauty of the landscapes reveal themselves along the way, and your driver-guide will assist you in spotting animals and birds. This is only a taste of what is to come, as the Serengeti is home to what is possibly the world's greatest concentration of wildlife. After a picnic lunch, you'll be eager to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site for more great wildlife-spotting opportunities. Which creature will appear next in the grasslands, savannahs, woods, and mountain scenery? The 'endless plains' are home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippopotamuses, and crocodiles... the adventure has officially begun.
Late afternoon back to the respective accommodation for dinner and overnight, also to talk about the many fantastic experiences you've had today at the end of the afternoon, exhausted and exhilarated
The enthralling sounds of Africa will jolt you awake. We make the most of the day by leaving at 8:00 a.m. for our morning game drive. Later, we'll continue the adventure by traveling up to Ngorongoro, another African icon. After a delicious picnic lunch, it's time to head east to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, another spectacular setting for Tanzania's wildlife. When you arrive, relax at the respective accommodation while a delicious, hot dinner is prepared for you. The crater's wonders await
us tomorrow.
After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater with lunch boxes for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the Seven Wonders of the World, was formed approximately3 million years ago. Several animals are found in Ngorongoro, including the Big Five, Lion, Elephant, Buffaloes, Rhino, and Leopard, which can be seen at Lerai forest, as well as Hippos,
Wildebeest, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, and many others. After the tour, return to Arusha for an overnight stay in a hotel or to the airport to return home
