After breakfast, around 10 a.m., our guide will pick you up from your Kigali hotel and transport you to Akagera National Park. The wildlife safaris in Akagera will take you 3 hours and will arrive in the afternoon. Check into your hotel before spending the evening boating on The Ihema Lake. Stay the night at Akagera Rhino Lodge. The first day of wildlife safaris in Akagera National Park has come to an end.

To catch up with the early risers, you will go for a morning game drive in the park searching for wildlife such as hyenas, bush pigs, etc. The drive through the park will also reward you with animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and many more. Overnight stay at the Akagera Rhino Lodge.

In the morning, around 08 a.m., you will drive to the northern part of the park for full wildlife safaris in Akagera and the chance to see some of the animals. Then we’ll take a bus back to Kigali, where we’ll arrive in the afternoon. After arriving in Kigali, we will take a city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial. We will drive you directly to the airport if you have a flight later that afternoon.
