WHY THIS ITINERARY?

Our driver will get you at your hotel in the first part of the day and drive you to Lake Natron. The drive is genuinely long and you will arrive at Lengai Safari Lodge or relevant sometime after lunch. At the same time, the scenery on the way is picturesque and you will have a chance to see the nearby individuals, including Maasai tribesmen, as well as some Africa wildlife. This will follow with Oldoinyo Lengai Trekking late night from 0100Amhrs. Ol Doinyo Lengai is part of the Great Rift Valley’s volcanic system in eastern Africa. For the Maasai Tribes, the name means “Mountain of God.” You will reach a height of 2,886 meters (9,524 feet). Hikers are rewarded with views of the rich glow of molten lava after a long walk up the volcano, which produces natrocarbonatite.

After you check in a Guide will take you on a walking tour to Ngare Sero waterfall. The trail runs through a gorge and you will sometimes need to ford the stream, so we recommend that you wear sandals or the like to avoid constantly having to take your shoes off. A drive to the lakeshore, where you get an opportunity to catch its incredible landscape on camera take place before you return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.

At 1:00 a.m. Guide takes you to the foot of Ol Doinyo Lengai well of lava for the beginning of your climb.
