Overview
This safari package offers our 5 day Tanzania adventure, which includes game viewing (wildlife game drives) throughout the duration. You will have the opportunity to go on guided safaris every day for the entirety of your time, on this Tanzania safari. It’s important to note that this safari requires some flexibility as you should be prepared to start on the day and conclude in the late afternoon on Day 5 of your tour.

Itinerary
Today is the day you depart from Arusha town, which serves as the base, for safaris in Tanzania. You will embark on a drive along the Arusha Dodoma highway towards Tarangire National Park. Along the way if you wish there is an opportunity to stop at a supermarket for any minute shopping needs. After that you’ll continue through the Masai Steppe. Arrive at Tarangire in approximately two hours. Upon reaching the parks gate your driver will handle all paperwork while you prepare for your game drive in Tarangire National Park.
Tarangire is renowned for its herds of elephants and magnificent baobab trees scattered across the grasslands. For lunch we’ll stop at a designated picnic site before continuing with afternoon game drives until sunset. Then we’ll head to our chosen lodge or camp, in Karatu for check in and overnight stay. You can look forward to staying at Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge (or a similar establishment). Both lunch and dinner are included during your stay.
After enjoying breakfast at Tarangire National Park we will begin our journey. We’ll drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley make our way up the escarpment and cross through the Ngorongoro Conservation area. The drive will be pleasant. Filled with scenery and breathtaking vistas as we head toward Serengeti National Park.
In the afternoon we will arrive at Serengeti National Park for a game drive that will last until late, in the day. On you’ll check in at a camp or lodge where you can relax by a campfire and enjoy dinner before spending the night. For lunch, we’ll stop at one of the Picnic sites likely at Naabi Hill Gate. This will give you a chance to stretch your legs while your guide takes care of registration and paperwork.
You’ll spend dinner. Either, at Thorntree Camp or Serengeti Green Hills Camp. All meals are included during this experience.
Start your day early with a sunrise game drive to have the chance to spot animals and observe the early risers among the diurnal species. This is an opportunity to see animals up close as many of them tend to gather by the roadside to avoid the morning dew. After enjoying breakfast at your camp you will spend the day exploring and going on game drives in the Serengeti National Park. The word “Serengeti” originates, from the Maasai language meaning “plains without end ” and true to its name you will journey through stretches of Savannah in search of a wide variety of animal species that call Serengeti home. Besides wildebeests keep an eye out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, as numerous resident and migratory bird species. Spend your night at either Thorntree Camp or Serengeti Green Hills Camp, with all meals included.
After enjoying breakfast at your camp or lodge we will begin our day with a game drive, in the Serengeti. Our experienced safari guide will lead us to the Seronera River Valley, an area in wildlife and bird species. Throughout our journey, our guide will stay connected with guides using VHF high frequency radios installed in our vehicles ensuring we explore the best spots. In the afternoon we will make our way back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Settle into a lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay. You can expect a dining experience at a mid-range lodge like Marera Valley Lodge or Country Lodge, at Karatu nearby. All meals are included during your stay.
You will start your day at the lodge with breakfast before heading down to the Crater floor for game drives, in the Ngorongoro Crater. It’s best to descend either after breakfast or with a packed breakfast to increase your chances of spotting animals like Black Rhinos. Spend the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater, known for its concentration of wildlife and even the possibility of seeing the Big Five in one day if you’re lucky. For lunch enjoy a picnic at the designated picnic site by the hippo poolside. Afterward drive back up, to the Crater rim. Exit the Conservation area. You will then return to Arusha arriving later in the afternoon. Breakfast and lunch are included in this excursion.
