This 4-day mid-range lodge safari takes you through the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. You will see breathtaking wildlife in some of the most diverse landscapes, including monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants among acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. You will also see the Serengeti National Park, which is home to over 3 million animals. These breathtaking grass plains provide the best opportunity to see Cheetah, Leopard, and Lion.
DAY 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
You check out from Arusha city this morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. It takes two hours to drive from Arusha city to Tarangire National Park. This Park is especially beautiful during the dry season, when many migratory wildlife species return to the Tarangire River’s permanent waters. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx congregate in Tarangire until the rains arrive, at which point they migrate to better grazing areas. Drive to the respective accommodation in the late afternoon.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Serengeti National Park on
We leave from our accommodation after breakfast, having collected our lunch boxes. Our journey takes us west and north, and our exciting destination is a name that everyone knows – the Serengeti! The sheer scale of the territory and the raw beauty of the landscapes reveal themselves along the way, and your driver-guide will assist you in spotting animals and birds. This is only a taste of what is to come, as the Serengeti is home to what is possibly the world’s greatest concentration of wildlife.
After a picnic lunch, you’ll be eager to explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site for more great wildlife-spotting opportunities. Which creature will appear next in the grasslands, savannahs, woods, and mountain scenery? The ‘endless plains’ are home to elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippopotamuses, and crocodiles… the adventure has officially begun. It’s back to your chosen accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you’ve had today at the end of the afternoon, exhausted and exhilarated and end up at our respective accommodation.
DAY 3: SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
The enthralling sounds of Africa will jolt you awake. We make the most of the day by leaving at 8:00 a.m. for our morning game drive. Later, we’ll continue the adventure by traveling up to Ngorongoro, another African icon.
After a delicious picnic lunch, it’s time to head east to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, another spectacular setting for Tanzania’s wildlife. When you arrive, relax at the Lodge or campsite while a delicious, hot dinner is prepared for you. The crater’s wonders await us tomorrow.
DAY 4 – TOUR OF NGORONGORO CRATER TO AIRPORT OR ARUSHA
